  1. Jeffrey Lupowitz says:

Picking one is really difficult. I originally had a top 4, which now has expanded to a top 5, with #1 changeable day to day. Verses and Choruses, Big Ohio Bed, Face to Face, and Chump and the Child all grabbed me from first listen. Now add SpIlling Down and Mecca as close to first group.

  2. Benjo says:

I’m going with Face to Face. Too many retail customers’ lives have been spared by my humming of this tune for me to not emphatically mention it. Samuel, Ego Band, thank you.

St. Augustine/Greater Jacksonville metro area, you’re welcome.

  3. Natalie says:

I had to go with Ache and Rain because it was originally a poem I wrote and I thought what Sam did with it was beautiful (and I don’t have the self-control to not vote for something I was a part of). That aside, my second favorite was absolutely “Big Ohio Bed.” It was just one of those songs that I liked at first listen.

  4. Mark H says:

So many great moments on the album… in the end, I had to go with Queen of Soul simply because there’s nothing else quite like it on the album. My only issue with it is that the jam ends far too soon, and that’s not a bad problem to have.

But the beauty of the album lies in the fact that every song is able to stand on its own, yet no single track is so overbearing as to disrupt the feel of the album as a whole. Perhaps that’s why choosing just one out of ten songs takes some serious thought.

  5. Alyssa says:

I’ve been thinking on this one for a few days now. I’ve always particularly liked “Big Ohio Bed” but I couldn’t pinpoint why. I still can’t. However, this is a song that just seems to exude joy and sunshine. It just has a way of heightening my spirits and putting me in a good mood.
